The Tambora is the drum used to play merengue. Along with the güira, it constitutes the percussion base of the rhythm. Tamboras are made of wood and goat skin, tied togueter with Cabuya rope.
La Tambora es el tambor usado para tocar merengue. Junto con la güira, constituye la percusión base de este ritmo. Las Tamboras se hacen con madera y piel de chivo, atadas con soga de Cabuya.
